Every piece I create begins with thread—but when other materials appear, they’re almost always rescued, repurposed, or lovingly handed to me with a playful challenge: “See what you can do with this!”
Between each major work, I pause to experiment, asking my favorite question: “What if?” What if I hit it with water? With heat? With paint or pressure or light? My process becomes a dance between possibility and intuition, searching for the exact color, texture, or spark that will bring an idea to life. The joy comes when viewers lean in, marveling at the form—and then gasp when they discover what it’s made of.
