It feels like it has been one of those long, long hiatus times….. But FINALLY, after the quilts (last blog post), running ArtWorks Gallery and Education Center in Oriental, and multiple surgeries on both hands this year, I am starting to do my own work again! I have learned to get stabilizer in my hoop with the right hand and left foot.
Yes, you read that right! My left hand and wrist are still healing from joint replacement and other surgeries. The right hand is still not 100% after its set of surgeries, but doing a great job of carrying the workload of two hands…for now.
Here are the beginning elements of my next piece. Think ultimately 3D…. the two brighter orange dots of orange in the bottom left are the “proof of concept” attempts to make my idea work. Wish me luck! I’ll post progress pictures from time to time.
