The land still smolders. Charcoal-soft grays and ashen whites whisper of homes lost, forests consumed, and skies gone dark with smoke. Yet even here—in the quiet aftermath—there are hints of resilience. A flicker of mossy green, a soft bloom of color beneath the soot, the first quiet indicators that life refuses to surrender.

Burnout mirrors that fragile balance between devastation and renewal. Beeswax and resin cradle fragments of scorched earth—nut shells, charcoal, thread—materials once discarded, now reborn as symbols of endurance. Like the forests after the fire, this piece stands as both a memorial and a promise:

From ruin, something new will rise.
